Abstract:
This dataset is an extract of the National Hydrography Dataset in Colorado. The extracted data contains all named streams in Colorado and other streams identified as being source waters for decreed water rights in Colorado. This data was transformed into measured route data with GNIS_ID being used as the route ID. Measures on the routes increment from the most downstream location to the headwaters of the stream.
Purpose:
The purpose of this dataset is to provide a Source Water Route Framework to generate stream mile location of stream confluences, diversion points, stream gages, dams and any other data relevant to water administration in Colorado.
